Enrichment Day - Commonwealth Games
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As I’m sure you know the Commonwealth Games is coming to Birmingham in 2022. We are holding a whole school enrichment day on Tuesday 5th April to celebrate the games being held in our lovely city.
We are going to be doing lots of exciting things during the day. We have linked these activities to our embedded principles of resilience, communication and independence. We are going to be learning about the commonwealth countries, the sports that are played and how athletes can use their growth mind set to train to competition level.
We will take part in some sporting activities, so children will need to come to school in their PE kits. There will be plenty of opportunities for children to use their resilience, communication and independence skills throughout the day and chance for children to earn sports badges.
We will send PE kits home on Friday 31st March in preparation. Children can wear joggers instead of shorts and school jumpers over their PE tops if it is cold.
Children will need to come in pumps/trainers suitable for exercise.
We will post lots of pictures to the website so keep an eye out for these!
We can’t wait to share our exciting day together.
Miss Wilson, Mrs Pollitt & Mr Hedderley
