Easter Time!
We have had quite a few Easter events this week...
It's Easter Week at Grendon and we've had two assemblies. One in KS2 gave the classes in Years Three to Six the chance to perform their Easter songs, while representatives from each Year group told us about the meaning of Easter. In the Foundation Stage and KS1 it was the Easter Bonnet Parade - a few of our prefects helped out here...
Denis and Niah report...
"During the Easter Bonnet Parade, the Year 6 children have helped with the assembly.
Some of the Year 6 felt embarrassed for them as if they were muddling their words up parents might laugh, which might of made them sad. Some felt nervous because of all the parents watching and some were actually confused because they didn't know what to say or where to go for their queue. Some of The Judges felt scared to pick a winner because it would make other children sad and not proud of their work.
Even though lots of children lost, it is the taking part that counts and not the winning. It was really fun and we felt proud of having the responsibility."
